Our journey has been paved by family, craftsmanship, and a passion for construction. Growing up within a small family run building company, both me and my brother found ourselves dragged along to building sites in attempt to help out our father. School holidays were dedicated to gaining hands-on experience, laying the foundation for my career. By the age of 16, I had left school and fully immersed myself into the trade, working tirelessly on projects that shaped my skills and work ethic.
After several formative years completing much of my apprenticeship along side my family, I sought to broaden my horizons. I joined Swish Builders, predominantly high-end architectural builders, where I spent around 8 years refining my expertise in creating exceptional homes across Canterbury. This experience equipped me with not only great personal relationships but also the precision and problem-solving skills required for the complex nature of these challenging hillside projects.
In establishing CMBuilders in 2020, my goals were to create a small company, to find the balance of building homes and building a reputable business that would compete and exceed in the architectural building market, to refine our process and our systems to accommodate clients needs. We are very pleased to be working above our expected objectives.
Our team’s strength is further enhanced by my partner, Sophia. With a background in quantity surveying and architectural design, she brings a wealth of expertise to the business while also managing a busy household with our two daughters, Ruby (6) and Blake (2). - 2025
